Maintaining a blog via Google Sites

I'm creating a Portfolio for myself using Google Sites. My original idea to blog via Google Sites was:

  • Set up a page called Blog.
  • Add hidden subpages "a.k.a. "posts" and then add those links to the main blog page.

However, I heard there was a limit of pages and subpages on Google Sites.

Are there any good embeddable blogs for Google Sites? I know there's Nabble, but it doesn't seem to be working. I also know there's Tal.ki. It also seems to not work.

I wanted a seamless experience by having a site with a built-in blog, is there any workaround to create a blog within Google Sites? I know I can embed Blogger iframe, but on mobile devices it looks bad, especially because for some reason Google Sites doesn't have the option for HTML gadget to use full page-width.
